A Constitution of Faith
As a country and as a church we have a constitution that guides us to fulfill our purpose under God. In a recent sermon from the series, "The Love of Your Life," the thought came to me that perhaps we should have a "Faith Constitution" to do the same for us spiritually. You'll recognize that the preamble to the U.S. Constitution was used as the blueprint for this "Constitution of Faith":
I, as a Christ-follower and part of the family of God, desire to deepen my union with Him, establish His righteousness in my life, ensure His peace in every human relationship, provide for the common defense of my faith, increase my role in the welfare of others, and secure His blessings and freedom for myself and the next generation. This I do ordain and establish as the Constitution of Faith for my life.
Can you agree to this purpose for your life?
