In Revelation chapter 12 we come upon the epic battle between God and Satan that has raged since the devil rebelled. The battle spans thousands of years and is waged both in heaven and on earth. The book of Revelation is largely a description of this war. And in it, we see exactly how the war will end and Satan will be judged. God wins. Good triumphs over evil.
How are we supposed to respond as we watch the playing out of this battle before us? When we see more clearly the motivation of Satan and his anger-laden ways, it should become more evident how we’re to resist him. And watching God’s deliverance of His followers should encourage all of us when we face the persecution of the evil one.
