As we have prepared for this weekend over the last several weeks, we now have gathered on Easter Sunday to focus on Jesus’ resurrection! At our sunrise service we learned that when we say, “He is Risen…He is Risen Indeed,” we are publicly confirming the continual, concrete truth that Jesus rose from the dead. Hopefully this public statement is based on a personal conversion experience based on when we were confronted with this truth. When Jesus appeared to His disciples after His resurrection, he said “Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon you;…” (Luke 24:49). Are we living fully and faithfully in that Promise?
